About Ceredigion Producer Support Service II

This project is an Objective One Funded project which is part funded by European Regional Development Fund, delivered by Antur Teifi and is supported by a number of organisations, including Ceredigion County Council, Welsh Development Agency, Llanerchaeron National Trust, Organic Centre Wales, Medrwn and Ceredigion Tourist Quality Initiative.

It aims to encourage and support the sustainable economic development of Ceredigion’s food and craft producers, while also promoting local culture.  The project was approved in January 2005 as a three year initiative and willbuild upon the success of the first phase of the Ceredigion Producer Support Service. Among its objectives are:

  • To support producers in developing new markets
  • Assisting in developing events involved in the promotion of food, craft and local culture
  • To develop produce tourism initiatives within the County
  • Offer advice and training on public procurement
  • Promote Ceredigion as a visitor destination for quality produce

The project takes a cross boundary approach, working with and supporting a diverse range of food producers from across a wide variety of sectors and can offer a range of services: -

  • Inclusion in our searchable on-line food directory, introduced to promote local food produce
  • Information via our quarterly newsletters
  • Advice and help in marketing and promotion of events
  • Business support, advice, training and information
