LOCAL FOOD TALKS 2007

With growing consumer demand for local and regional foods, using local foods in your menus or selling these in your retail outlets is not just good for tourism, it is good business sense.

Using local food is good for your business – it’s a fact!

  • 81% of visitors to the region want to find local foods on the menu and are willing to pay more for them (Brecon Beacons Visitor Survey 2005).
  • Consumers are willing to pay a price premium of around 13% for Welsh or local foods (Beaufort Food Service Sector Research  2005)

This programme of events offers a real feast of activity and all of the events are FREE.  The events are suitable for everyone – chefs, cooks, purchasing managers and proprietors. Places are limited, so please book early using the contact details provided for each event.
